Ok. Here's a narrative of my life for 19 years. Maximum of 250 words. Gosh. STRESSFUL. But well I am glad I was able to compose this essay for the IMC application form. That application form was really a HEADACHE. Would you believe having to answer four essays which includes a narrative which is the one written below, a obituary of yourself with descriptions of how u had lived your life, a critique of a print ad and lastly an enumeration of your 3 favorite movies and books with explanation. What else can you say? They have the most HELL application form. Anyway, here's a glimpse from my IMC application form. Enjoy.
Having been alive for nineteen years has taught me to become a woman ready to face the challenges. My life is like a treasure chest with exquisite gems and rubbles of shipwreck on the side. It is full of wonderful memories which I still smile at today. However, those rubbles of shipwreck have taught me to become a more determined person. Just like any person, I was once a kid who played around. Despite a simple life, the love my parents have given me made everything worthwhile. As I enter into the big school, life has changed me to become an independent person. I have spent most of my life in Immaculate Conception Academy (ICA) where it shaped me into a responsible citizen of this country. It was never a regret studying in ICA because it was where I got to meet friends who have become my treasured jewels ever since. Also, it gave me an education I am proud of. At a young age, I have experienced frustrations in life but those things just passed me by making me a fighter. Being a fighter, I have become a club president, volleyball player and an achiever in Kumon Program. I am not much of an achiever like others do. But one thing is for sure, the lessons I’ve learned about life will always be my greatest achievement. No matter how good or bad those experiences were, I will always cherish those memories in my own treasure chest of accomplishments.
