home...
for the record, it is CRAZY cold outside...i dont like it. i had to get up and go to what turned out to be the voice lesson from hell this morning all the way across campus, i honestly thought my face was going to freeze off...i could never survive up north.
I went to SING last night w/Ash, it was truly amazing! ATO and Kappa were by far my favorites. ATO's theme was Sesame Street! I mean how freaking cute is that, you just cant go wrong with college guys doing a musical number to something like sesame street complete with big bird and cookie monster...it was just too adorable! just one more reason i totally love this school!
I went with Ash and Steph today to go check out the progress of the house...omgosh! its awesome! They just put in our bathroom cabnets and shelves for our closets. The next step is painting (which speaking of, i need to pick out colors today) but anyway, its just such a surreal feeling to go and look at this house thats not even done yet and think that next year its home. The last time i remember walking into an unfinished house was with my parents. The last time i remember calling something "home" and it having the true meaning of home was when talking about my house back in sa, again with my parents. The whole moving away from "home" concept hasnt really hit me yet because i live in a dorm which is another word for comfort bubble. While i say Baylor is my home i still consider my house back in sa "home". Next year this house will be "home" and the house that i grew up with my parents will be just that, my parents house.
wow, thats crazy to think about. its kinda cool though......
considering the fact its freezing and raining outside, life is surprisingly wonderful :)
