my my.. it has been a while. lets see i will give you a brief overview. i spent twelve days after finals carrying a canoe and two packs around. then i went home to find my family had grown by four, a nine month old - Caleb, Sarah and Ryan - both 28 and Joshua - the best three and a half year old boy in the world. it was much fun having them live with me for a week and a half. yesterday i brought them to the airport, and they moved to panama. i try not to think about how long it will be until i see that cute boy again. he has grown so much in the past ten months.
today was my first day at yfc!! i've been looking forward to this.. for a long time. kevin post, my personal prophet of God has been prophesiing about this since i was about 15. now, finally after four years, i am offically an intern and working at capital district youth for christ. ((this is just a preview of the rest of my life, i can tell already))
i love how comfortably i fit in at yfc. the whole parachurch ministry is exactly what my vision of ministy and the church is. its amazing how that has been revealed to me recently. i have also loved being in worship at brunswick church these past couple of weekends. i forgot how much i loved it and how much of a home it is to me.
so today began with staff meeting for a couple of hours, there was much sara/betsy confusion much to my amusement. kevin post shared how he thought i was a twin. steve (i must remember to call him P, no one calls him steve), adam (spooky... i will have to find out where that nickname came from) are amazing. i am so stoked to be working with them this summer. and of course seanface. we've been inseperable since i have been home. which has been incredibly enjoyable every moment.
tomorrow will be more exciting then staff meeting, sweeping the driveway and organizing the gear room. our first day of shiloh's edge training! which means we get to go play outside. yippee!
we will begin with an afternoon of white water canoeing on the hudson river. then friday will be climbing in the adks. with an evening of fishing and chilling in between.
summer is amazing..
