Alrighty well I thought I would update on what's been going on here lately...

Last week was soooo busy. Besides the normal working schedule, my mom came up Monday night, I worked on a presentation all Tuesday night, Wednesday and Thursday I went to the art fair with Mr. Chris (It was my first time and eventhough it rained it was very nice still) as well as packed and shopped for the weekend trip.

Friday morning James and I left for Chicago. On Friday, we went to the Art Institute, which was SO impressive. I loved it so much and can't wait to go back. Then at night we went to Greektown there, because it's supposed to be one of the best in the U.S. and it was! The restaurant we ate at was so delicious and they did different things that reminded me of what they do in Greece.

Saturday and Sunday were Lollapalooza, with some shopping and food on the side. The people were so cool at the concert, and just really chill and laid back which was fun. On Saturday we saw: M83, And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead (we saw this one just because of the name), Dashboard Confessional, Cake, Blonde Redhead, The Black Keys, and Weezer. On Sunday we saw: Louis XIV, Tegan and Sarah, Ben Kweller, The Arcade Fire, The Killers, and Death Cab for Cutie. Cake, and The Arcade Fire were definitely the most impressive though.

The concert was at Grant Park with 5 different stages, and it was gorgeous next to Lake Michigan and with a great view of the Chicago skyline. However, on Sunday it was SOOOOO HOT!! I later found out that the temperature reached 104 with a heat index of 114!!! There was absolutely no clouds or shade in sight so people, including James and I were hiding behind bushes! Well after hiding in bushes for a while and drinking lots of water, we finally had to go out in front of a stage to see one of our favorite bands. Well, 15 minutes after being out in the sun I passed out! Oh geez. People started pouring water all over me, which only left me very muddy. But then I got to go with the paramedics into an an ambulance and got to cool off! Haha it was still scary though.

Besides the passing out part and the getting home at 6am before work at 9, everything was so amazing, so much fun, and just an overall a great memory :-)
