SURPRISE!
Guav called me from the airport last night to tell me that he and Bea were on their way to Dallas for a wedding. Their flight got delayed, and the flight that was supposed to take off at 7:10 P.M. didn't actually depart until almost 11.
The dear boy called me this morning to let me know they got there in one piece, but barely. Flight was a nightmare of noisiness, and poor Guav didn't get much sleep en route.
They were on the way to Bea's Mama and Papa when Guav checked in with me. Mama and Papa have know idea that the kids are in Texas, so this will be a marvelous surprise for them. Wish I could be thre to see the look on Venus's face when she opens the door and sees Guav and Bea!
My friend, Tim, who was visiting from L.A. last week, and stopped by to have lunch with me and his Mom, whom I invited over here, flew back to La LA Land last night. Tim works as a sound editor/music manager, (supervisor?). He brought me a DV: SUGIHARA, Conspiracy of Kindness. It is about a Japanese diplomat who saved Jewish refugees during WWII while he was serving as the consul in Lithuania.
The film was very gripping, and it was so neat to see Tim's name in the credits.
That's about it.
Didn't end up quilting today after all. Tomorrow, tomorrow, and tomorrow.
