Some of you might remember me writing about my friend
vyazatel who visited me at New Year's. He came all the way from Boston, and then I didn't hear from him for two weeks and wasn't sure he'd arrived safely home. Well, thankfully he did, and he's busy making plans for this summer. They're very worthwhile and exciting. You see, he's hoping to join a group of young people between the ages of 18-24 in a 4000 mile bike trip across the country, ending in Vancouver. Along the way, they will be helping to build affordable housing.
Avram is awaiting the final paperwork, and in preparation for this larger than life event, he has to get into training, and raise $4000 in donations. The organization that's sponsoring this huge effot, is called, "Bike And Build". For more info, you can read about it at:
http://www.bikeandbuild.org/our%20trips/NUS.htmI know there are several of you on my friends list that can get behind what this young man wants to do, and I'm appealing to you, ( Sam, and Schramm come immediately to mind, as well as Mc Kaig) to help if you can. If so, write to me, and I'll put you in touch with Avram.
Thanks, and to Avram, I'm sure others join me in wishing you the best of luck, and Godspeed!
