A Quick Hello From Guavmomland

...which at this time of the year is also synonymous with Santa's Workshop.

Presently about 1/3 done with the afgan for Guav and Bea.

Working on a poncho for miss Corlin, who graduates from Keuka College next weekend.

I finally managed to reach my friend in Virginia, "Mama". She's out of the hospital, thank goodness, and on the mend from a bout with pneumonia. She is very happy with the Rose Garden afgan I made for her to give to her niece. So, better late than never. I'm so thankful she is healing. At 82, one worries about such things.

So, my housemate, John, is a heck of a good guy. We're getting along just fine. He's been very helpful to me in getting things done around here, and has been helping Artie for the last three days. My landlord pulled or tore a muscle in his chest the other day, and as he delivers heavy tanks of propane in addition to working on trucks, he needed the help, as his doctor ordered him to take it easy for a few days.

Everyone else here is fine. Sadie Rose is a little miffed at Mom for taking in two new kitties. She likes being the Queen Bee you see, but she's adjusting. Freddy and Maxi are darlings. Poco is doing okay.

Got my work cut out for me today: more unpacking, cleaning, craftiing, and if I can find my baker's yeast, might even attempt to get a couple of loaves of bread in the oven before day's end.

Have a great weekend, y' all!

friends, home, family
