Update on Tased student
Ok well, this isn't really an update per se. It's simply a reevaluation of my previous entry, and of the situation at hand. I hope I wasn't taken the wrong way, I'm not giving the kid the upper hand at all. What he did was stupid (resisting arrest). They shouldn't have cut his mike off and made a big deal about the whole thing, but they did, and clearly, since he's not mature enough to handle himself, what happened happened. I don't particularly agree with the level of force used on him, but I can't say he didn't have it coming to him.
Will this incident be taken seriously, or he and his case will be laughed out of court. Either way, my point in the matter is that My previous post seemed to have been siding with the student, but in actuality, it's not. The kid over reacted, and the cops made a big show out of the whole ordeal. Anyway I hope people learned their lesson: Don't be an idiot (instigating things), and if someone who is given authority by the country/state is telling you things: listen.
I personally disagree with the level of authority given to the police (including sheriff, deputies, etc.) by the country, state, region, district, county, city, municipality, and any other subdivision that gives authority, but that is a story for another time...don't know what I mean? Watch Team America, World Police (if you take that movie at face value seriously, then you completely miss the point). Anyway, I'm out.
Oh and remmeber: Don't drive after drinking, don't drink before driving, and don't do stupid things that will get a cop with a taser to calm your ass down.
