I thought everyone was joking about the DBZ anime-padding. Gohan and Cell just stared at each other for a full minute, spent five minutes dancing about, and then took another five minutes for Cell to power up. My sole consolation is that I picked the right fight to watch, as Gohan's distinctly unimpressed look... is entirely appropriate.
