[14] Ocean never felt so nice.
I had gone out into the ocean for the entire day yesterday. It was quite refreshing and comforting to return to the sea after so long! I have brought back quite a few objects that I had found to give to Miss Lash when she returns from her trip. I do hope these strange objects I had found such as remains of a wreckage would be useful for the youngling, I do know she has a liking of fixing things... I had also caught a few fishes and was hoping to enjoy some more sushi prepared by Miss Lash, but it seems that her trip date had slipped my mind! I managed to cook myself a seafood dish, although the appearance did not come out quite as pleasant as the cook book image. I'd like to say I had made quite an improvement, fortunately. I had managed to not burn the entire kitchen! I was able to limit the burning to the stove area! Not to mention that the dish was quite edible! Of course it would be quite a while until I am able to try cooking again... The stove seems to give off a burning smell every time I turn it on now. I may have to have it checked if it does continue, I will not be able to enjoy tea if this burning smell fills up the room!
With winter break here, I find myself with so much leisure time...! It's quite unfortunate that I had already finished reading the entire collection of text held by the academy library... Perhaps I will treat myself to a book store later this afternoon! Hopefully there are new books published for the holidays, it would be very pleasant if I am able to find a light-hearted novel. Ah, speaking of novels, the book club meeting is on Monday! I had almost forgotten about it! I cannot wait to go visit the club!
I do wish the school was closer to the beach. It has barely been barely a day and I am already missing the sound of waves. Perhaps I shall pay more visits to the beach during this school vacation. Perhaps a day out at the beach and reading a novel will be an excellent idea!
