It's hard to tell, especially if they're that good at impersonating.

It would depend though; the ones wee saw just had no control, and gave themselves away.

If one was intelligent enough though...attacking only when needed and not associating with the others...

It's a dreadful thought, isn't it? It's the sort of thing that will lead to suspicion and fear.

I wonder if there's a way to detect them.

Of course. It takes a lot of effort, and time, and perseverance, but anywhere can be made safer. One just needs to have the desire to change things.

And a world where things can change. Oh, the youma were monsters, there is really no doubt about it. The scientists brought them here, after all-- what if they decide to make the creatures a common fixture to the city? Or something worse they might decide to bring other Awakened Ones-- we can never really say.

Then it wouldn't be anything really knew, the city is filled with lots of monsters, we're just more used to them. In the case that these... youma, become a permanent threat, then we just need to figure out how to counter them.

--Perhaps there's something in common to all of them, like back then. Wasn't there the change in personality and the glow when the people turned monsters? Perhaps if we can find a common ground or symptom they all have. We could then flush out the monsters that way.

That's what I was thinking. We could also try and figure out if the monsters share any energy signature and look for that.
