A small tid-bit (rather large tid-bit, sorry)

Since internet cafes were hard to come by and i didn't have a lot of time to update, i will give you a brief run down on what has happened and what cities i have seen so far.

After we arrived in Berlin, we did a tour of Checkpoint Charlie, the Berlin wall (which was different than what i thought) and to a small city called Potsdam. Then we left Berlin, toured a small city called Dresden, which was interesting since the entire city was destroyed during the war, and then rebuilt through an artists paintings of the city in the 1700's. We drove through a small mountain village that was home to prostitues, pimps, massage parlours, sex shops...and that's it. We arrived in Prauge that day.

I love Prague (thanks to Avery for introducing it to me). I remember most of the streets and i had no trouble getting around there. I finally got to go up and see the castle, which was a very gothic place, i liked it a lot. We spent two days in Prague, and since we landed in Berlin, it has been raining off and on now. Some light sprinkels, down pours, and misting.
After Prague we drove for about 7 hours to a city called Buda, and it's sister city on the other side of the 9 bridges called Pest. yes, we arrived in Budapest. I never knew that it was two different cities.

"I can see you an the bridges of Danu kid."

Interesting city, kind of dirty, and you have to watch out for them Gypsies. Again, some rain, and more touring of cathedrials, castles and the shopping district. We left Budapest to go to Vienna, and it was non-stop downpour, but, since it was so damn hot and muggy, the rain felt very good. We found this pastry shop (a famous one i guess) and i had the best desert i have ever had. More touring, more walking, more cathedrials, and more rain. Vienna is a beautiful city, i just wish that it wasn't raining so much.

Left Vienna to travel to Salzburg, spent only a couple of hours there, but i was able to see the oldest resturant in Europe which was established in 900. Then we drove to Munich. I remember some parts of Munich from the last time i was here about 6 years ago. And it never rained while we were in Munich, which was nice.

While in Munich i took the group around on the free day while my parents, brother and his girlfriend rented a car and drove to Neuschwanstein. We all met up at the Hofbrauhouse later that evening, got shit faced off of BIG beers and welcomed into our family my new sister-in-law. Yes, Chris and Leslie are now engaged. He popped the question at Neuschwanstein, how romantic.

After Munich we drove to Heidelberg, where it started raining again...damn. But it didn't bother me, it was hot and it felt good. Unfortunatly, there was a shop that i was supposed to go into in Heidelberg, but alas, it was not there anymore...sorry...On our last night in Heidelberg we found out that there was a missing kid across the lake that we stayed on and the police and divers were dragging the lake all night to no avail. We woke up the next morning and drove the kids to the airport to say our goodbyes. It was a sad moment for us, i missed them for like a couple of hours, but now it is quiet and i am free.

We met our cousin Carmen at the airport, rented two cars and drove down the Rhine river. We stayed in a little B&B for the first night, which was nice except for the train that ran by every 20 minutes. The next day was pretty lax, we saw one castle...in the rain...and then drove to another castle on the top of this big hill that over looks the entire Rhine river. I was worn out on castles, but this wsa awesome because it wasn't a touring castle...IT WAS WHERE WE STAYED THAT NIGHT!!! We slept and ate like kings. I didn't want to leave, but, i knew that when we did, we would be driving to AMSTERDAM!

Our first night in Amsterdam was freaking awesome. I walked around for HOURS, just taking in the smell...i mean scenery...I went down to the Red Light District, just to see, not touch, and it was a lot different than what i expected. They were very atractive women, winking at you, blowing kisses, opening their doors to say hi, or try to invite you in. We saw some regulars that just went up to doors, knocked, and they were let in. They weren't nude, just very provocative. The next day i went into a coffee shop, partook in some...stuff...and now i am sitting at an internet cafe writting this up. I don't want to leave Amsterdam, i really like this city, not just because of their...openness, but it reminds me a lot of San Francisco. (I also found a Game Workshop store, it's a geek thing).

I might not be able to get online again until i get home so this is what will be happening. We leave tomorrow to Brudge and Brussels for a night, then to our relatives place in Germany for three nights. We go to Frankfurt for one day and then fly home the next day on the 6th. If i don't get a chance to get online, i will make sure that when i get home i will update a full post, with cuts and the like.

(Damn, this one is pretty long, sorry)
