Seventy Seventh Memory

I can't believe you were going to go without me. Beyond possibly needing the moral support, it really would have been a shame to let something like that go to waste. It was actually really touching! There really isn't anything wrong with brotherly love. I think it's a waste otherwise. From now on we can all get along together nicely. Ichiru-kun, ( Read more... )

An entire year. It's almost hard to think about.

[She's still confused about when last they spoke, but...]

Do you remember when you first arrived, Akiha-san?

...That's not something I like to remember.

Sorry! It can be a touchy subject. For most people it's can't really be a happy date.

From experience, reentry is just as disorienting. Especially if you forgot everything when you left.

At least you seem to be having fun. That's good.

I've just been kept busy this past week. Finding clothes for the ball was fun.

It wasn't as noticeable before, but I can really feel the change in the season now. It's not a bad thing though. I like fall. The transitional seasons always seem to be my favorite. Beyond whatever that maze thing was, the curses thus far haven't been too bad. It's put me in a good mood.

Was it? We never had anything like that at the Tohno estate, so I wouldn't know. If I had known, I would have gone. But Zero, a good dancer?

Yes. Autumn has gradually taken residence in the City. I was worried of how the City celebrates their harvest, but so far the results aren't too devastating.

Is it a favorite season of yours?

Zero always ends up being too good at everything. I've danced before and know the basic steps. Kaname-senpai taught me as a child, but it wasn't something I regularly practiced. He would probably have been disappointed if he'd seen me the other night.

You think it would be, what with my namesake. And it is very pretty. But no, my favorite season is summer.

Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses. Some just happen to have more than the other.

I'm still searching for mine.

I'm kind of surprised you didn't hold any balls, or anything of the like. I've had the impression that you came from a fairly impressive family.

They did arrange events now and then. It was nothing as grand as a ball, but it did require dancing.

I guess at school it wasn't so special as the ball held at Aidou-senpai's. Everything about the vampires is very extravagant. The academy can host some pretty impressive things at times, though. We don't get too many dances. Students aren't allowed to leave school grounds, so when something like a dance comes up it gets a lot of attention.

I can imagine. Nothing like that is held at Asagami. If you wanted a party, you and your roommates had to arrange a private one for yourselves, and hope word doesn't spread to the Student Council.

They were that strict, huh? I'm kind of sure people back home often feel that way about Zero and myself.
