Common sense sometimes doesn't work.

It works in a lot more situations than people give it credit for.

Those who cannot think outside of the box are limited.

I didn't say anything about not thinking outside the box. I'm talking about common sense, which is in distinctly short supply around here.

Because common sense is difficult in a world of fantasy interwoven with reality.

That's assuming it was there in the first place.

I think there are a few situations that can be dictated by common sense no matter how interwoven the supernatural or the surreal are with normal life.

The unexpected means a suspension of common sense most of the time.

Maybe in your world.

Personally, I find that it's the moments of the unexpected where common sense will do you the most good.

If common sense applies. Which, most of the time, it doesn't. Otherwise, common sense would dictate a certain outcome.
