Luke Skywalker mentioned that your previous technical support staff -- I think she took care of your computer equipment and security? -- left the City. And he suggested I might be able to help. If you haven't already found someone, I mean.

It is. I provided technical support for my team back home, including but not limited to mechanical and electronic maintenance and security, programming, research, and data analysis. I also spent a fair amount of time analyzing alien technology, and I've assisted our team doctor as well. Although that's not really relevant, I suppose.

And I can provide references, if you like.

Of course. My boss from home, Captain Jack Harkness, is here, and can give you an idea of the quality of my work. The Doctor can also speak to my work, as can Luke Skywalker and Tony Stark. And I think all three would be willing to speak as a reference.

I should explain that I'm hoping the position might be something that wouldn't require a full-time presence. I have a couple of projects of my own that need attention.

I'm not sure how full-time the maintenance of the system is, but the woman who held the position previously also did some electronic-based intelligence work for us, but the need for that tends to be irregular. George Blake will probably know the answer to that better than I; she's currently head of Intelligence.

I'd be very willing to assist with intelligence work, if the need arose. I've got plenty of experience with surveillance feeds, network firewalls, things like that. And if worse came to worse and there was need for it, I'm certified for handguns and I've...got some experience with explosives.

Oh, and I guess you'd also need to know that I've got a contract job with Ishiah at the Lux. I maintain the network security for him there.

Police work tends to come in waves; there are times, like now, when things are fairly unstressful, but when something comes up, we generally need as much of people's time as we can get, just as a forewarning. I wouldn't put you in a situation I didn't think you could handle, but it's good to know you know some firearms skills. Being in the police force is by no means risk-free.
