My allergies and I have a long history of torment and torture. On a good day I have difficulty breathing through my nose and an awful rasp/gurgle first thing in the morning. On a bad day (the last 2-3 weeks or so) I can't breathe at all, the sneezing has pulled muscles in my back, I can't think through the fog and pressure in my head, my eyeballs are going to burst, my ears and jaw are a mess of horrible agony and with every breath I struggle not to cough because it gets so bad I throw up.
Now, the above symptoms have been continuing IN SPITE OF the following EVERY 12 HOURS: 1 Zyrtec, 1 Claritin, and 2-4 Benadryl. I am also using my neti pot ANY time I can force either air or water through either nostril. I'm using the nasal spray decongestant every other day (the kind you spray into your nose as a vaso-contrictor). I can't use it every day because it's badly addicting and can make problems worse. Yesterday it got so bad I went to CVS and bought a liquid cough suppressant/expectorant.
I just changed the hepa air filter in my AC unit (yay central air). Sitting in a hot/steamy bathroom makes me feel like I'm drowning. The inside of my nose is an absolute wreck.
I have no insurance and no job, though I've applied to many places. I have unemployment for a few more weeks and then that's gone. I'm running out of things to try but I swear I feel like I'm dying.
