"Rose, it's Elle. I stopped by your room today 'cause I wanted to talk to you -- nothing bad, just wanted to talk -- and you weren't there." Elle's voice had a little bit of confusion in it and maybe a matching little bit of hurt. "I don't know where you are, but it looked like you were gonna be gone for a while. Why didn't you tell me? If I did something wrong, I'm sorry."

A pause. And then the call disconnected.

The call started with a sigh.

"Hey, Rose, it's Jaina. So John offered up a suggestion of putting due in Bobby's showerhead to turn him colors for a day or so, and he wanted me to tell you. And now that I've told you that, I can tell him so."

With Yeva insisting on tours of town and the complete rearrangement of Dimitri's hotel room, he'd finally had to pick up the phone and give his trainee a call to let her know she was off the hook for once.

"Rose, I'm canceling our session this afternoon. Something has come up," he paused before deciding to add more. "And no, hell has not frozen over. See you at Fight Club."
