Barbara found her way back to her own quarters with little trouble but on her arrival, she didn't feel much like resting. She was restless and fidgety. Soon Barbara found herself folding and re-folding the clothes in her drawers to make them neater and making certain all the furniture was dust free. Of course, being on a TARDIS solved that problem before it even became a problem.

She picked up the book which Ian had left behind - she'd have to thank him at some point for giving up a peaceful night's sleep in his own bed for her sake. Ian, being Ian, wouldn't have left her alone until she'd been given the 'all clear', irregardless of where she spent the night. Still, she should do something but heavens knows what. Trust her to be stuck for an idea on board a ship that can do just about anything.

It was on this train of thought that Barbara saw the white envelope sitting neatly on her bed. It was similar to the one she found at home however long ago, which lead her here. There were small differences, a black smudge in the corner and a small splattering of ink near the seal. And the hand was slightly less loopy than she remembered. Though none of that stopped her from opening the little flap and pulling out the note. A note from the White Guardian, which requested her to stop the meeting of a young couple in a pub. Apparently they had stopped just outside the pub.

It only took a moment's contemplation before Barbara was shrugging on her coat and stepping out of her quarters, down the corridor, through the console room and out the door. Perhaps she should have found Ian and took him with her but being a pub, she figured he'd be along soon enough. Maybe she could find them a decent spot with a good enough view of the pub to stop this apparently disastrous meeting. Or maybe she'd have a quiet pint to herself and not even see these people.

One thing was for certain and that was, that Barbara had missed the almost cliche atmosphere of a good pub and soon found herself smiling as she settled at a table in a relatively comfortable chair with her very own pint. As relaxed as she was feeling after her first sip, Barbara made certain to keep an eye on the room. For a little while, at least.
