Writer's Block: 9/11
I was driving to school. I remember listening to Bo and Beth on the radio then flipping a few channels to get to some music. When I came back to B and B, they sounded confused and kept talking about a tower being hit by a plane. I thought it was a joke or some weird skit at first and then Beth screamed and said "OMG the other one has just been hit" and they both agreed it had to have been a planned attack.
I still didn't know quite what was going on until they mentioned the World Trade Center. I was in a state of disbelief as most of the channels switched over to CNN coverage. I was in auto pilot . . . I don't really remember how I got to school that day, but I do remember finding tears on my cheeks as I parked and got out of my car.
It wasn't until I was sitting outside for my second class that I heard about the Pentagon. It's not something I'll ever forget.
