I think it would've had to be Svenson. You're right. But I even imagine that it was something like they just joined up with a group already caroling, rather than they formed a group themselves. Something like they see a group of carolers, and stop to listen and as they start a new song, Celeste says, "I know this song," kind of almost to herself.
Chang surprises everyone by saying, "I remember it from when I was a boy."
Svenson smiles and approaches one of the carolers, speaking in his ear and comes away with a songbook. "I am not familiar with the words, but it shouldn't be too hard to follow along if you both would join me?" and he offers the book to them. Celeste and Chang share a look, and Celeste smiles and starts to sing, and Svenson joins in and Chang, unsure of his voice, sort of mouths the words until Celeste catches him at it and they share another look and she smiles at him and leans into him and he puts an arm around her and actually starts to sing, softly.
*clears throat* Eh...where did THAT come from? You always do this to me with your sketches, you know that?!?!?
((I would even say that the juxtaposition of the positioning of the THREE of them is a not so subtle tell...but then again, maybe that's just me, since I'm the one that has always seen a bit of Svenson/Celeste onesided thing going on there...))
