Quick Update
I am HOMESICK. And considering I'm typing this from my own desk in my own bedroom, you might wonder why I would be homesick.
I haven't spent any substantial length of time home for 6 weeks. I've been living at my parents' house since it gives me a half hour more sleep every day since I'm commuting to New Orleans for training.
I got to come home this weekend because I won't be home AT ALL for the next two weeks as I will be in Corpus Christi, TX by midnight tonight for a week for lab training then Saturday Sept. 18 I'm going to Kisatchie to go hiking then I'll be in Lake Charles for a week.
But my fear of flying to and from Corpus is kinda tampering down the homesickness since . . . I hate flying. Like, it's my #2 fear (after the dark).
In other news, I've been writing fic. A LOT. But I can't release any of it . . . yet. And Em and I are doing a little challenge among ourselves. The results of which will be out in about two months.
If I survive these trips ;D
AND I am - apparently - going to Las Vegas with Em in November for her b-day. Since I've never been, we have agreed that if something happens there and we get arrested, it'll probably be due to an accident on my side and carelessness in not getting caught on hers XD
I apologize for my long absense (it's gonna be even longer). I'm hoping I have some free time after work for the next two weeks (when I am locked up in my hotel room) after working out and/or swimming to get some things ACCOMPLISHED fandom wise. I have a list of fic to work on and art I still haven't posted. I'm about to scan a few more things and will be bringing my flash drives. I have fic written out long hand on paper that needs to be typed up and ideas for new sketches. I still need to do art for the new chapters of Em's fic It Only Takes a Moment.
Plus the challenge fics.
So, I'll definitely have things to do while in TX and LC.
And when I get back, I have tickets to the Chelsea Handler's "Chelsea, Chelsea, Bang, Bang" show at the Lakefront Arena on Oct. 2 XD
WHEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
So, I will leave you all with an I LOVE YOU ALL. Happy Late Birthday to all the folks I've missed and Happy Early B-day to all the folks coming up. I hope you are all doing well and will continue to do so.
And if I die in a plane crash, it was lovely knowing all of your, reading your fics, admiring your art, and fangirling with you.
