Classes at St. Vladimir's Academy were on-going in the days leading up to the ski trip, leaving plenty of free time for non-students and their mentors. Rose had some catching up of her own to do - Mason and Eddie and some of the other novices had pulled her off before their classes had started, and she had missed being with them. They were who she was and who she'd grown up with and they were who she'd be sharing her life with, and - it was good to remember that.

Also Mason was really adorable, and Rose had forgotten how much he liked her and how much she liked flirting with him.

Which was why she was in a fairly good mood even if more than a little shaky when she made it to the free room for their training. "Working hard, comrade?" she called as she made it inside.

"As hard as I can waiting for you," Dimitri replied, ignoring the name since it was generally a sign of a good mood on her part. "Did you get some rest?"

"Yeah," she said. She hated sleeping in the visitors' quarters at St. Vlad's. It still felt weird she didn't have a place there. She reached up to brush her hair over her shoulders. "Did you?"

Good luck getting Dimitri to actually be off-duty when he was off-duty and back at the academy. "Some. There's a lot to be done."
