At Ivan's request, Dimitri had escorted him around town and acquired supplies for the apartment - mostly fresh liquor and better glasses to replace the one was missing and rid them of the need to wash the other. There were no explicit plans to repeat the night before, but Ivan had insisted they stay in and Dimitri thought he understood why: In public, Dimitri would forever be on guard, but at home they could all simply relax and enjoy one another's company.
And Ivan could meet Rose.
