Man, I haven't updated my journal since my ordination? Shame on me, indeed.
Life's been busy, in the good way. I'm full time at the parish, and I'm well-loved by the people. I very much like this life: I rise with the dawn, spend about 75 minutes between Mass and private prayer, I get to the office by 9:00 am, and the bulk of my day is spent writing, meeting people, or organizing events in some way. When life is quiet, I go to the hospital and wander around until someone doesn't throw me out of the room. I also have little bits of time to relax, rest, read, or otherwise goof off as my mental needs demand.
It will indeed suck to go back to school in September. However, it's good to know that the life I've been working toward is indeed worth it. Sorry I've been so distant lately.
