Wow I haven't updated in forever...and the past 3 weeks have been *BEYOND AMAZING* for me! To start off Friday January 11, 2004 I went to "The Glass Slipper" and got my Prom Dress! It's sooooo pretty! I am so excited to get it! I need to find me a date now! LoL If ya got any suggestions let me know! =) If u wanna see a pic of my dress u can go here: http://www.alycedesigns.com/2004/dress.php?id=271&page=1 ....Let me know what ya think!* Anyway...Moving on...Also on Friday the "CrossWired" youth group (which I am in) went to Gatlinburg, TN and stayed in a BEAUTIFUL cabin! It was so amazing that there is not a word that can describe it! We went to Gatlinburg for TCTC (Tennessee Christian Teen Convention)....This was the most amazing weekend of my life and there are many that are up there with Winterguard but this topped it all and that was something that I was afraid of...Never being able to find something to fill in that empty space in my life where guard used to be! Now I have my youth group...and it is for a MUCH BETTER reason...GOD! What is any better than that!? NOTHING! =) Anyways..we got there and our cabin was on a huge hill that was completly iced over! It was so slick that one of the cars we were all traveling in slide down it and into a fence (no one was hurt thankfully). When we got in the 3 story cabin that we had all to ourselves we looked around and it was gorgeous it had a jacuzzi, pool table, balconies overlooking snowed covered trees and mountains! I can't even begin to describe how amazing this place was...We all picked out rooms and Sarah, Dasha, Stephanie, Savannah, and I were all in the 3rd floor bedroom! We all got ready and headed into Gatlinburg to the Convention Center...We got there and they had magic shows, a concert (Longhaul who was sooooo GREAT!), and a worship service...after we got back to the cabin we all ate and talked until 3:00 A.M....I got up at 6:00 A.M. and let's just say I was VERY tired!! We got ready and went back to the convention center...we attended workshops until 12:30 I think and then had a speaker who was awesome! At around 1:30..we all went back to the cabin and had lunch...Sarah, Travis, and I all played pool...one game took us an hour b/c none of us could play! =) After we ate we were all sitting around and one of the girl's in the youth group thought it would be fun to slide down the steps on her stomach face first...Let's just say we all laughed very hard and she was sore and had carpet burn on her face...u can make a picture of that yourself! =) After we all got ready we went back to Gatlinburg and went shopping for 3 and 1/2 hours! It was so cool! Sarah, Travis, Dasha, Savannah, Stephanie, and I all hung out together then we went to eat at TGIFridays...it was so good...After that we went back to the convention center and watched the "Grits" concert then Longhaul played again...They had Altar Call and I went up with Dasha and Sarah by my side and got Saved that night!* It was the most amazing feeling! I was so happy! After we left the convention center we all went back to the cabin and had prayer for almost 2 hours...it was so great! At about 2:00 A.M. Sarah, Dasha, Stephanie, Savannah, and I went downstairs and hung out with Shannon, David, and Travis until 3:30 A.M....I got up at 6:00 A.M. again! Shew I didn't get any sleep all weekend but it was well worth it! That morning everyone went back to the convention center and we had Sunday Church Service...After it was over we went to eat at Damon's and I made the decision to get baptized...when we got back to the church that night Sarah and I got baptized together! It was so great to have her there with me! It was something that I was glad we could share together! I felt so clean, and pure! I had this feeling of an incredible sense of calmness...It was an indescribable feeling that I will NEVER forget! Thanks to everyone in "CrossWired" for making that weekend so special for me!*
*This weekend was GREAT too! The Youth Group went to Winter Jam in Johnson City, TN. I had a blast...there were some amazing bands there....Jadyn Maria, Todd Agnew, NewSong, Sonicflood, and Audio Adrenaline! It was awesome! We went to eat at IHOP at 1:00 A.M. ...Travis and I rode in the back seat together there and then back home that night...and let's just say that us being so tired made for some funny conversation! =) I really felt like I got a lot closer to him on that trip...he is an awesome guy! =) On Saturday the youth group had a party..the only ppl that came were Dasha, Sarah, Laurie, Shannon, Travis and I ..but we had fun anyway! Then today we had Youth Sunday...Travis, Laurie, Shannon, and Jimmy all sung or played an instrument...Wes did the communion meditation, then Sarah, Dasha, Jessica, Hannah, and I did a skit...and our youth pastor did the sermon...it was awesome!
