Fic: Sick Day (Hiro/Ando)
I'm a little under the weather right now, so I wrote this to cheer myself up. It also served as a bit of a break from all the angst that's been dominating my brain lately.

Summary: Hiro takes care of Ando when he's sick.

"More blankets?"
"No."
"Tissues?"
"I've got more than enough."
"How about water? You need to drink plenty of water, you know?"
"Hiro, would you please calm down? I'm fin--"
A sudden coughing fit interrupted him. When he was finally able to look back up, he groaned upon seeing Hiro's "I told you so" face.
"You're not fine," Hiro said, propping up Ando's pillows. "You're sick."
"I'll be fine, is what I meant," Ando said, sulking. "And you've changed the pillows around three times already, leave it."
Hiro ignored the command. "I just want to make sure that you're comfortable."
Ando dropped his head in his hands until a telltale itching in his nose forced it back up. He decided not to argue. There was no dissuading Hiro when he got in this mood.
"The top one is a little too far down," Ando conceded.
Hiro quickly fixed it. "Is that good?"
Ando gave him a strained smile. "Yes, thank you. Now could you please stop acting like a mother hen?"
"You're so ungrateful, Ando-kun. After everything I do for you."
Ando frowned at him, not buying it for a second.
"I'm sorry," Hiro said, sitting down next to him. "I guess I am acting a little overprotective. I just want you to get better as soon as possible."
"I know. But I'll be fine, really."
Hiro suddenly leaned forward and kissed him on the forehead. Ando stared at him, momentarily flustered.
"You shouldn't do that," he said. "You'll get sick, too."
Hiro kissed him again, this time on the cheek.
"Don't care."
"You will care when you're hacking and wheezing."
"Then it'll be your turn to stay home from work and take care of me."
Ando didn't have the energy to protest. It'd be pointless, anyway.
"Now," Hiro said, snuggling into his side, "Do you want to watch a movie or shall we play cards?"
Ando shook his head, smiling. "Whatever you want, Hiro. Whatever you want."
