Anchors away!

Why is it so *expletive* expensive to fly to the east coast? Can someone tell me? Looking for flights to The Creek is just frustrating beyond all human comprehension.

I've found pretty cheap flights for my trip home in late July/early August (so far they're around $320). I still have to see how much vacation time I have left for when I will hopefully be taking 10 glorious days off of work.

It's the 'extended weekend' I'm trying to book to go visit Connecticut people that is driving me insane. It'd just be nice to see them for a few days because I know when I'm home my time is limited since I have so many people to visit. Plus, the trip that I'm planning for late summer involves an engagement party which will include at least one person that I haven't seen in about two years!

The cheap rate I found is on Jet Blue but the closest they come to CT is Boston. I've tried everything, orbitz, travelocity, actual airline webpages. Everything is $450 and above. It's crazy! I wish I could find the fabulous $99 each way rate that I found when Kristen and I flew home for our parents' anniversary. Then I'd be set.

It's just so frustrating because all I want to do is get away for a few days and go see people that I haven't seen in almost a year! But apparently the airlines hate me and don't want me to be happy. *shakes fist of fury at airlines*

*bows* Needed to complain, thanks.
