Wow! I'm so proud of you for running the 5K! Congratulations! Sounds like you've got so much going for you right now with work, exercise, and even with the whole eating thing (which is important, but I just think it rocks that your exercise is going so well!)

Thanks! :) I have been pretty busy, but it's a good kind of busy, I think.

That's great about the running; I know how hard it is! And i'm jealous that you have such a ginormous office, but not jealous about all the hours you have to work.:)

The one big thing about 'BSG' that I didn't get was that Lee, Adama, and the Chief decided to exlie themselves forever. Well, I understand why Chief would, but why Lee or Adama? Doesn't make sense. Seeing the Cylons fight was frakkin' awesome, and I got a little teary-eyed when Laura thanked Doc Cottle for helping her. I even liked Baltar's last minute redemption.

BTW - did you watch 'The Last Frakkin Special'? I'm making a t-shirt for Michael Trucco (Anders) that says 'Chicks Dig Cylons' and having Jason give it to him if he's at the auction in May. :D

I don't get the exile either - I could understand if they wanted some time alone, or to explore or whatever, but the permanence of it bothers me a bit. Especially for Lee and the Chief, who both have a pretty long time left to live!

I cried at Roslin/Doc Cottle too, as well as when Kara said goodbye to Sam and when Roslin died! I was teary for awhile, come to think of it!

I haven't watched the special yet - I think I am subconsciously saving it...maybe tonight. :) Sounds like a good shirt!

Our cost of living raises have been suspended, too. Our 401Ks will be suspended until year end, at which time anyone who they deemed to deserve it will receive some sort of match. I can't afford a 401k, so that doesn't really affect me, but the cost of living raise is pretty necessary, IMO. The cost of living is driving steadily upward, but our wages have all been frozen. I understand the need for this, but what are we supposed to do?

Grrr!

But you ran! All the way! I can't even run a half a block.

Congrats on the promotion!

Yeah, it's frustrating! And then there's the other side that is thankful to have a job, raises or not. It's a crappy conflict of interests, for sure.

I couldn't run a block either. I'm still amazed every time I go out and keep running! Thanks! :)

*dreams about annual cost-of-living raises*
Our company doesn't give these, which is scandalous. I was on the same wage for 5 years, getting poorer and poorer as prices went up. But I enjoyed my job too. Have been applying for better paid jobs for about two years now, but only got one interview - and they decided to hire someone less experienced and therefore cheaper. Grrr. /end of rant

Wow - good on you for the running! I started training for a 5k run a couple of years ago, but then I sprained my knee, and also started getting horrific hayfever while outdoors, so that ended that.

My old company didn't do cost of living raises either, and it really sucks.

Thanks! I am trying to really careful not to hurt myself because I know that would totally derail me and I might never get started again. I'm a klutz, so it's hard. :)

Congratulations on the promotion! That's great!! Sucks about the no raises thing, though. :(

And great job on the run!
