Goals Update!

I know these posts are kind of boring - feel free to skip. :)

If you are interested, though, here's how I'm doing with my goals now that we're a month into the New Year.

1. Lose at least 30 pounds.

Good progress on this goal! I've been going to WeightWatchers meetings again, and it is helping. I've finally found a leader I like, which makes a huge difference. I've been taking my lunch to work everyday, which is also saving me money. So far, I'm down 5.6 lbs in four weeks - on track to meet my birthday goal.

2. Finish unpacking.

Two steps forward, one step back on this one - we finally finished moving all of Josh's stuff into my house and then we unpacked it. He's completely settled in now and has his own room with his computer and all his music stuff. Unfortunately, cleaning out the closet in that room dumped a bunch of other stuff into the rest of the house, so I still need to deal with that.

3. Pay off my credit card.

I have successfully resisted using my card, and it's awesome to see the balance stabilize. I expect to make another payment at the end of this week. So far, so good.

4. Get 1.5 hours or more of exercise each week.

This has been my shining achievement so far, and probably why I've lost that weight. I've run three times a week for the last three weeks, and once so far this week. Yesterday I ran for 12 of the 35 minutes I worked out and went 2.2 miles! It feels great to get out there and it's been surprisingly easy to keep motivated this time. I'm looking forward to the weather warming up a bit.
