so i'm starting to prepare for my move to seattle. i finally started packing today, and i spent a few hours yesterday and today online trying to figure out what's near my apartment. there's a huge mall less than a mile away, there's the space needle and paul allen's "experience music project" and pike place market, and there's a few drugstores, banks, and small grocery stores really close by. the only two things that are not nearby are target and the school. so basically, the location of this apartment would be amazing if not for the fact that it's a little far from campus. it's only a 30-40 minute bus ride, which shouldn't be too bad, since i commuted to campus for a couple of weeks and i know people who drive that far on a regular basis to come to class. i don't even have to pay attention! i just have to get on the bus and then i can read the newspaper or a journal article or something. so i think it'll be okay. i also found out that i can get boxes shipped on a pallet to seattle (so i can take a whole crapload of stuff) and even have it delivered inside my apartment before i get there. that would make my life an infinite amount easier - i can just show up and start unpacking, instead of trying to haul 10 boxes upstairs (there's an elevator, but still).
anyway, i know i haven't posted in a while, so i figured i'd write about something, even if it's this =)
