(no subject)
it's been a while since i've updated. my bad.
so this guy myspaced me and i looked at his profile and it said that he was 38. and that's just weird to me. also, all of his friends were girls and he had about 400 friends. this is why myspace and people's addiction to it is so strange to me. i understand using it if you know the people that you're friends with...but if you're a 17 year old girl, what business do you have talking to a 38 year old on myspace and sending him "sexy" pictures of yourself. it's just creepy.
on a different note, i went to the north carolina middle school conference in greensboro this week, and it was really fun. i got to attend seminars that talked about how to make grammar fun and stuff like that, and i really enjoyed it and plan on using the things i learned when i teach. annabelle talked danielle and me into attending the seminar on pig dissection and i am so glad she did. i got to dissect a fetal pig and i was AWESOME at it. and so few people attended that session that they had extra pigs to give away so they gave us pigs to take home! AND i won an embryonic pig in a jar with it's bones dyed purple so i can see the bone formations. i know that i'm not going to teach science, but that pig looks so cool and it will def. have a place in my classroom.
Fall semester is going to suck. Our professors already showed us the schedule, annnnd yeah damn, it sucks. 8 ams twice a week, huge breaks in between classes, class till 8 on some days (and that's an 8 am day). I only have one class on mondays and wednesdays so i guess that's ok, but it still sucks. And all these classes will only last ten weeks so they're cramming a semester's worth of work into ten weeks. the last five weeks we spend entirely in the schools teaching. and then....i'll be a student teacher. crazy.
youth group came up and went skiing yesterday. it was a lot of fun. it was kind of frustrating cause i spent $50 renting skis and my lift ticket and i ended up not skiing much cause natalie was so bad that i just did whatever she wanted. i made her go down a bigger slope twice and the second time was just so awkward for her that she just took her skis off and walked the rest of the way down. i thought i was uncoordinated, but damn. that child just has problems. lol. it was fun hanging out with her though. and now that she's apparently kissing boys, it was fun to tease her about that.
oh ps. my sister has vdp! on her ipod. ......kind of weird.
spring break is in a week. can't wait to go to ohio :)
