so i'm a week into summer break and i can't decide how i feel about it. i guess i'll have a better idea once i start work at camp new hope. i'm really getting excited about it, but i'm also getting really really nervous. i should probably start researching online stuff to do at campouts and stuff...since it'll just be me and 15 7th thru 10th graders for two weeks. yikes. the other thing that sucks is that i won't be able to do bible school at camp new hope...i'll be working there instead...so maybe i can pop over to say hey to tully and anne...but alas...nothing more than that. i am gonna try and get my kids to go to the big vcs cookout on thursday night...but...we'll see. so yeah break kinda sucks right now. i'm getting a lot of reading done..and that's cool. i'm also babysitting a lot..in the past two days i've worked eight hours and made over a hundred bucks. i'll take it. one cool thing that happened today was the family i babysat for turned out to be an army family so we had a lot in common...they even knew the pediatrician in cuba and she was natalie's doctor while we were there...so...cooool. lol. the thing that really sucks right now is that no one is here. everyone's still in school. and i miss my boys in charlotte. another thing that sucks is i dunno when/how i'm going to move out of the house. volunteers welcome. i can probably get my parents to pay you....so that wouldn't really be volunteering...but...you know. i went to my sister's band concert today. i love her...but the bands were pretty bad. lol. her's wasn't too bad. but the sixth grade band was awful. then i saw that the eighth grade band was playing into the storm which is a song i played in highschool twice with the freshman band. i was pretty impressed that they were attempting it as it is a little on the difficult side for young players. and yeah...maybe they shouldn't have taken it on...cause...damn. lol. there was one part where there was a fermata and the band director cut them off...and they just pretty much stopped playing when they wanted to. and there was another part where the rhythms were tricky and everyone just kinda stopped playing but some really smart tenor sax player got them going again. ok that whole last part will mean nothing to most of you except for bob and jeremy. but yeah...it was just...really bad. lol. friday i'm chaperoning natalie's band trip to carowinds so if any of the charlotte kids happen to be in the carowinds area, stop by...say hey...ride a ride or two. i'll be the one with six kids in tow. speaking of kids. i babysat today and one of the kids was a newborn and he was really fussy...i think he had diarrhea cause..i know this is gross..but i could hear/feel it towards the end..but i had to just walk around and carry him and pat his back the whole two hours and man if i'm gonna have a bunch of kids i've got to get a back transplant or something..cause that was hurting really bad. wow can someone say ramble? i'm done.
