break was ok. it was good seeing my family. always get some laughs from my dad. thanksgiving dinner was disappointing because there were no mashed potatoes and mashed potatoes are hands down my favorite part of thanksgiving. i don't like turkey or stuffing, so i just ate peas and rice. mmmm....not.
today was really fun. i got up and went to wal-mart at 8am to get natalie a christmas present. this is a wolf family first because my mom prefers to avoid the human race and does most of her shopping either online or late at night at the mall. so, shopping at 8am the day after thanksgiving is a big deal. turns out they were sold out of what we wanted to get her, so my mom bought me some long underwear for the game tomorrow (she's convinced that it's going to be negative a million degrees). after that we went to the mall to go to radio shack. turns out there's not a radio shack at southpoint. go figure. my dad and i went to barnes and noble for some coffee. my mom refused to get any because "we have a coffee maker at home and i can have a cup of coffee for 33 cents instead of 3.50. she's so weird. went back home and took a nap and then came back to the mall with my sister and we did some christmas/birthday shopping for our parents. got my dad some funny stuff.
i was on my way back from boone when kyle called me and we arranged to meet in wilkesboro so that me, him, nathan, valerie, pat, and melissa could go to winston-salem to go to the app-wake forest game. once we got to wake forest (with a little bit of being lost), we paid seven bucks to park. we went up to the colliseum and it turns out that it was 28 bucks to go to the game. thanks to the excellent planning, we didn't know that so we went to olive garden instead.
yay for olive garden. i lost my olive garden v-card tonight. i loved it. it was REALLY good. not sure if i like it better than macaroni grill or not...but we'll see. and another first: i ordered an alocoholic drink because they didn't card anyone else in our group. kyle almost screwed it up though because they were all going to order and see if the waiter carded them and if they didn't, then i was just going to order something. well kyle went first and ordered and then OFFERED to show his card. dumbass. but it worked out in the end. i had these drinks called bellinis or something...very fruity....very good.
after the olive garden we went home and now i'm at my house getting ready to go to bed cause i've got band at 9:30 tomorrow morning.
all in all a very fun day and i'm glad i was invited to go to the game even if it was only to keep kyle from being a fifth wheel.
