ok...whoever was the cruel cruel person who turned my daemon into a spider....UNDO IT. *whimpers*
so. Was too lazy to post my thoughts on that yesterday. I mean. I read the books when I was a little past their age demographic, but I was still a kid...and therefor wanted a daemon of my very own...so for that I'm glad that there's a site....
however...not so excited that they're making a movie out of these books. For one...the first book is pretty imaginative...and I'm a little afraid that the presence of a movie will ruin the book's already incredible imagry. And the second two deal with some pretty heavy theology, and I'm afraid they'll trivialize that. Dunno...also not sure if it's because of, or in spite of the casting of Nicole Kidman as-SPOILER-the very evil lady...she might do very well with that part...but I kinda would like to see it without any brand name actors.
Blargh. I am cantankerous and don't want them to ruin the books for me.
And seriously. Make it not a spider. Or I will be forced to kill my soul...and that would just be wrong.
