Writing to you from my slow-ass laptop. I broke my compy *cries*. Need a replacement, already ordered. Same brand, newer model. Shiny!! Its gonna be better than compy ever was! Of course Im going to use a lot of compy's parts. Anyone got any name suggestions?
For my geek friends (I dont know if any are out there):
Successor to Compy
2005 Biostar IDEQ 210M
- 478-pin Intel Pentium 4 2.81 GHz
- 800Mhz front side bus
- 512MB 84-pin DDR400 SDRAM
- 128MB ATI Radeon 9600XT graphics
- D-link 108mb per second 802.11a,b,g wireless
- 200-watt power supply
- (2) 80GB Samsung Spinpoint 7200RPM IDE ATA100 hard drives
- C-Media 6-channel audio
- 10/100 ethernet
- front ports for: headphones, microphone, (2) USB 2.0, IEEE1394 Firewire, S-PDIF optical
- rear ports for: 3 audio, ethernet, power,(2) serial, (2) USB 2.0, Firewire, S-PDIF optical, VGA, keyboard, mouse, parallel, game
Depending on the sides of the case, I may look into cutting my old sides and adding windows. I think cooling should be easier with the new system, it look like it has a larger rear fan and a revised heatsink. I will be adding a hard drive cooler and a ramsink to add some shiny to my memory. Might put the 80mm LED fan back on the CPU heatsink to make it glow. I can't wait to get my compy back.
