Fourth of July in DC (aka Fourth of July Weekend...Part the Second)

More on today: So me and my roommates went over to the Mall to camp out for the fireworks tonight. When we got there, we were able to catch the last of the parade. Seeing all of the marching bands took me way back...making me feel all old and stuff...and they had a huge inflatable Woody Wood Pecker. We spent most of the day camping out there, so while everyone else was playing cards, I decided to go on over to the folklife festival that was taking place across the street (it was the last day). While I was over there, I managed to score some free swag, so it was fun...oh, and I suppose I did manage to learn stuff along the way. Got back and watched the Navy band perform. It was a pretty good performance and after that some country singer came on. Sat through it (I really don't care much for country, but I'm pretty sure you figured that out by now) until the fireworks. By the time that started, the Mall was really packed...all the way from the Capitol to the Lincoln Memorial. Crazy stuff, as always. Anyway, hope everyone had a great Fourth of July.
