vampish Mantegna, Patinkin and Gibson playing doctors, and 6 degrees

Dec 06, 2011 16:09

ETA: Warning, this post has no coherency, I changed the subject heading At Least 100.

I have, in all honesty, no idea what is going on down there *point*:

...but it looks smoking hot, and if it involves fresh faced Vampire!Rossi as the as the title "Nine Lives" and the name Camille suggest, I would have to hit it (ETA: No, it is a Chick Flick, and now that I know the context it is Awkward, but it sounds like Mantegna plays a very sweet character). I was going to post this to the Rossi comm, but then I notice something very familiar about the actress. That's Kathy Baker! She plays Dr. Jill Brock in Picket Fences, which once guest starred Mandy Patinkin as Dr.Jeffrey Geiger from Chicago Hope (who was basically Dr.House before there was a Dr.House, minus crippled leg plus crazy wife...it was not a good trade off). Their slap slap awkward reluctant pat on the back is on youtube.

...and it was in Chicago Hope that Mandy Patinkin and Thomas Gibson played doctors together as Dr. Jeffrey Geiger (S1,2,6) and Dr. Danny Nyland (S1,2,3). If real doctors were this cute I'll listen to my mother.

Dude, I did not exist, oh wait, I did but I was too young to pay attention, at the first run of this series, did Dr Geiger and Dr Nyland interact a lot? Image Google didn't turn up much.

Well, here, Gibson just looks cute, all bright eyed and pretty!:

This is Mandy Patinkin, feeding the slashers, in 1995:

1995 fanservice CBS press shot of Mandy smooching Adam Arkin (Dr. Aaron Shutt)

Image Google yielded more promising results for Joe Mantegna being a sexy badass.

Mmmmmnnn, Mobster!Rossi. Normally I despise the glorification of gangs-mobs-predatory-machoness, which was why I tuned out of the Godfather series, but damnit, I might just have to mine it for the sexy ebil vampy looking Rossi parts. Stone Cold Abstinence Killer.

Moral Integrity: 0
The Cute Boy Consideration: 1

I mean, I'm primary Team Gideon, but I still like Dave Rossi a lot, the way he is. Rossi's not the type of "Nice Guy" who grovels because he has no balls and he thinks being polite entitles to sex and oh wait < / bitter >. Rossi can be, or he started out as, a competitive cocky bastard, but he's a genuinely nice guy. He stopped trying to steamroll over Hotch once he realise that Hotch values his opinion a lot. He is very respectfully paternal towards the younger members of the BAU, he doesn't gloat or patronize, and knew exactly the right thing to say to Jordan and Seaver, and when to say it.

...but there is just something about indulgent mobster!Rossi that is hot, fantasy-wise, somebody please fill this prompt!!!!:

dubcon fantasy - Mobster!Rossi/Gideon OR Mobster!Rossi/Reid

...before I horribly horribly mangle it, because I have never seen Godfather or associated works, just that episode of TOS Star Trek where Captain Kirk wrangled a deal with the Planet of Mobsters (I kid you not).

6th Degree: So, other than Mandy and Thomas in Chicago Hope, plus the actors of Haley, Tobias, and Spencer's Mom Diane (Meredith Monroe and James Van Der Beek and Jane Lynch) in Dawnson Creek, anyone else met pre set? Or worked closed with someone who worked closely with a co-star? (Who fans, apparently the actress of Rose was buddies with Eleven before he got the DW part, cool)

Oh: Jane Lynch guest starred for one episode in Dharma & Greg (Gibson plays Greg)
Dameon Clarke, who starred opposite Matthew Gray Grubler in the purportedly homoerotic "How to Be A Serial Killer" 2008, also played the role in the episode "The Fox" as Christopher Crawford, um, what did he do?

criminal minds, joe mantegna, mandy patinkin, thomas gibson
