I remember thinking of Neil Gaiman as the vanilla Alan Moore

...after reading "Books of Magic", which has a Lighter and Fluffier John Constantine, albeit at the time I didn't know him in other incarnations yet.

I remember reading M is for Magic, something intended for children, but still had quite a few chilly tales, one in which it was heavily implied that the protagonist was about to be murdered.

Well, I'm reading my way through "Fragile Things", which has cannibalism, causal mention of rape in the orphanage system, incest, and protagonist being a pedo.

...and I'm desperately trying to remember if I had ever recommended to my wee baby cousin that she should try reading Neil Gaiman.

reading, neil gaiman
