Gul Garak is pretttty attractive too

...and this would have been a most attractive image, if not for the fact that Worf is definitely not my type:

(Shattered Mirror)

Worf had his redeeming moments on TNG, but then he abandoned his son, and was a complete asshole to Dax. Seriously, I have no clue why Jadazia sticks with the men she sticks with, Sisko who addresses her as "Old Man", talking over her ID to Curzon, and Wolf...I just don't get her attraction to Worf. Jadazia and Quark makes more sense, I certainly had the impression that her concept of beauty is not as limited as her human counterparts.

Speaking of beauty standards, I get that the Ferengi is supposed to look repulsive to us...but turning that around, shouldn't we look repulsive to the Ferengi as well? Then why are so many Ferengi portrayed leering at humans? It just reminds me too much of the North American drama about a century back: "Ew, those icky china-men are into our white women!", which was mostly bull, there were interracial relationships back then...white women have actually been arrested under the Female Refugees Act for it...but I imagine that most of the Chinese men back then wouldn't have noticed the white women at all, due to the difference in standards of beauty thing.

...and back to the lighter side of things, within the mirrorverse, I totally ship Intendant Kira x First Officer Garak...in that order. Didn't Mirror!Garak blew a kiss at the Intendant? Andrew Robinson had the idea that Mirror!Garak was into the Intendant...and I think, not only would it work within the story...but it was probably Robinson's little act of subversion against Rick Berman. Robinson admits to playing Garak as bisexual, he was in support of sexuality as diverse within the world of Star Trek...whereas Berman seem 'pretty opposed' to it. Rampant homosexuality was only allowed in the mirror universe, where everything was supposed to be twisted...thus creating the danger of the Dead/Evil-Gay stereotype Hollywood cliché...which I suspect Berman had intended especially when he had mirror!Garak blatantly make a remark to mirror!Wolf afterwards. By portraying mirror!Garak as having a heterosexual attraction to mirror!Kira however, Robinson set it up that the mirrorverse wasn't where the good and straight were evil and gay, but that things are just...flipped. This is helped by the fact that the good resistance fighters are lesbians...but I think the fact that Garak the token gay character in ourverse was straight in the mirror one, helps makes it clear.
