Unless there is a trend of people doing horrible things and then killing themselves. In which case, for the greater good, an example must be made.

I think that would set a very strong example though if you revived someone from the dead just to make them pay for what they did--then people would know that even killing themselves wouldn't make them safe from facing punishment.
Not saying that even if people could, they should make a habit of reviving their criminals, but still. It would definitely make a statement.
