Is it just me...
Maybe I am just over-reacting but I feel like today's youth are somewhat close-minded.
Recently I have noticed a current trend with society in general. If something is not served to us on a silver platter than its just not worth our time.
I pride myself that I am open to a wide variety of music. I have an appreciation for pretty much every genre. I feel for the most part that today's top 40 is about the most mundane and talentless crap as I have ever witnessed. I rarely listen to the radio and I yearn for something more than the monotone tunes of today.
I know on several occasions that I have tried to broaden the horizons of some of my friends and have been looked at as if I had grown a third head.
I have been currently soliciting a band and have yet to have someone actually take the time to find out about them. Why you ask, well because they are an opera band. Apparently opera is not very cool right now, and something with beauty, harmony, and a full orchestra is just not worth a listen.
So...I am gonna ask you guys to maybe take a minute, not roll your eyes, and check out this band that I am extremely passionate about.
