(no subject)
My weekend, the recap.
I went home, obviously. My usual 4-hr drive ended up being 5-hrs thanks to Friday traffic. That was fun...not. But I got home and we all went out to eat at the best Chinese place in Georgia. After supper, played Scrabble with Gran. Then I went over to the parents' and watched race stuff on SPEED.
Saturday I slept in! Yay! That afternoon, our dog lock my mom out of the car. LOL. And the spare key was in the car with Daisy. So I called the dealership and asked them to send someone to the gas station to rescue Mom. I went to the gas station and gave Mom my phone and then went to meet my lil bro's best friend and his mom to pick up my lil bro. After that, we ran down to PetSmart to get puppy food and some stuff for Ricky (who I think may be sick :\).
After that it was off to Kristin's to watch Friday's episode of Trackside (with Elliott and Jamie) and the Shootout. For some reason, I started craving a milkshake from Gorin's so before the Shootout was supposed to start, we went and got some. While we were waiting for them to be made, I looked out the window and it was SNOWING. No joke. Big flakes and coming down hard.
And it lasted for about 20 minutes and then it all melted. LOL. The only good thing about snow is the reactions of Georgians when we see it. This kid we saw Saturday night was sooo cute. "WOAH! MOM, LOOK AT THE SNOW!!!!"
We got back to Kristin's house just in time to learn the Shootout was postponed. Major bummage after getting so fired up that the season was finally starting. However, to amuse ourselves, we watched episodes from "NASCAR 360", Season 1.
Sunday I packed all the stuff I needed for the race then went to Mom's to watch quals. It was snowing, again. Boo. It was like a continual flurry- itty bitty flakes and not coming down very soft. Congrats to Jeff Gordon and ESad, btw!! Then, Mom asked me to take Ross for a driving lesson. ACK!!! It was pretty similar to riding with Gran. LOL. He did okay, just hasn't quite figured out how to make turns.
Then I went back to the house to catch the Shootout. YAY FOR DENNY! Ate dinner then drove back to the Boro.
I basically just chilled yesterday. Just got back from classes and I'm eating lunch. About to go study for tonight's ST&D exam. Also have a SHRM meeting tonight before class. Tomorrow I have to work in the morning and then I'm free for the rest of the day. Well, at some point tomorrow I have to do laundry and clean. Thursday I have class until 1:45 and then I'm going to work since I won't be there Friday morning.
Why won't I be there Friday morning?! Because I'm leaving at 8am for DAYTONA!!!! wooohooooo!!!!
Why does it have to be so difficult to be witty and charming over the internet? And how do you explain to a guy the appeal the ESad has for women without getting x-rated? Can anyone tell me? LOL.
Justin and I were talking about Elliott today and I said that he was hot. Just in asked why and I was like, "Uh....he just is!" LOL.
Speaking of Justin, he had me LMAO in class this morning. He was goofing off the entire time. We also made a bet: I put $1 on Stewart to win the 500, he put $1 on McMurray winning it.
