Woopie! It's Monday!

Dec 03, 2001 20:30

Today was pretty ok, for a Monday. First thing in the morning, K and I ambushed Na and MADE her ask Nathan to the dance. He said yes, like a good little Nathan. *smirk*

Spanish was uneventful - as always... We're learning about artists through presentations of classmates. Some of my classmates don't know how to pronounce any of their words, so it's basically a big cringe fest for me. My biggest annoyance is how people pronounce the 3rd person of haber "hay" like "hey" and not like "I" how it should sound - people need to get - H's are silent in espanol! Ah these people drive me crazy, it's all those damned cheerleaders too!

English was rather uneventful too, but in this case it was nice. Huber usually goes nazi on us and gives us way more work than needs be done, so doing nothing = good.

Enrichment/Lunch - Pointless NHS meeting - oh how I love being in National Honor Society, I get to make "mandatory donations" (yeah think about that) and waist my time listening to their same ole spiel. This better help me get into my top choice college, or else I want my money back. (So far the count on 'mandatory donations' is $11)

History - ugh...we had to write this AP essay on the Jacksonian Democrats, and to what degree they protected the Constitution and provided for equal economic rights. Needless to say, I wrote a big piece of garbage. It's timed so I was rushing, and my wrist got so out of function it numbed my thumb for the next hour, which was really weird. (is numbed the right term? it was like it was asleep? I dunno!)

Juvenile Justice - we talked about how pot is just as bad for you as alcohol, but that just means alcohol should be illegal (not that pot should be made legal) [much to the dismay of the football team members in the class. sorry boys.]

But this is an exciting bit, as I was waiting for JJ to begin, K and Na came and visited to tell me that Greg (no, not stalker bad Greg) but from her calc class, asked her to ring dance! Woot and a half for K!!!!

After school K drove me to her place and I tried on dresses for Ring Dance. I'm borrowing this really cool dress and K's shoes! I'll post some pics if Na brings her digi camera and actually decides to take pictures! I'm excited! I hope Matt is too...cause well I do!

Then I went to my old Elementary School, where my mom works. Kristen dropped me off there so she didn't have to drive me all the way home. I visited some of my old teachers and I felt like a brainy snob. I was discrediting the minds of the football players and the cheerleaders (cause duh, most of them are dumb as dirt), and my old teachers who love me SO much, started teasing me about them being close to that and not being smart. Sure, they weren't condemning me, but I felt bad for having high standards. That annoyed me greatly. Maybe I'm too judgemental? I don't know? I don't try to be? It just happens. I notice trends and comment on them. My old teachers, did make me feel smart though, so that confidence boost should help, cause I'm turning into insecure moosh again...this always happens when I like a guy. Why am I stupid-ish when it comes to boys???

Igh... I'd write more, but I have Huber-Homework...blah...but once I finish that, it'll be Angel time! Woot!

boys, friends, high school, language dork
