Our assignment this weekend was to write an outline of a genre of fiction. This was because we were examining a perspective on fiction by Mody C. Boatright, about Westerns.
Enjoy,

Boyband Fan-Fiction Outline:
The Outline that fits all stories in the genre like a glove

I. The Typical Meeting
A. The boyband member has been a friend of the lead girl before the aforementioned boyband member became famous.
B. The lead girl meets the boyband member at a radio show, concert, or autograph signing.
C. The lead girl is a choreographer, dancer, actress, singer, model, or crewmember working with the boyband.
D. The lead girl is mentally unbalanced, stalks the boyband, and then threatens the boyband member she is "deeply in love with" to be her boyfriend, or else she will kill him.
II. The Falling in Love Process
A. The boyband member realizes the friend he has is quite the looker, so he then begins to pursue her romantically - sometimes the girl will refuse him, because he is an idiot.
B. The boyband member can not get the beautiful girl with the catching smile off his mind, so he goes about the city trying to find her. Once he does he will proclaim his undying love and devotion to her. She will return that sentiment; after all she is the overzealous fan.
C. Seeing each other in the work place time in and time out feelings begin to emerge and the two begin to date. This couple becomes unbearably cutsie and may cause one to vomit.
D. After the boyband member realizes he doesn't want to be killed, he tries to get to know the girl. He realizes the girl is not so bad. He begins to fall for the girl and treat her well. The girl, being mentally unbalanced, gets mad at him for being a voluntary hostage. The boyband member does not care, because he's in love. He showers her with gifts so she'll stop being so mad.
III. The Problem and End
A. The two friends question whether they really should be dating each other or should have remained friends. Usually, they continue dating and marry each other.
B. The boyband member asks the girl to go on tour with him, but she does not want to give up her normal life. Eventually the boyband member will convince her to go. On the tour fans may get mad at the lead girl for dating "their husband," and that strains the relationship. Sometimes these relationships will end on a mutual note, but mostly the two stay together and live happily ever after.
C. The public or manager disapprove of the relationship and will somehow separate the two lovers. However, their love prevails, because they are soul mates.
D. The lead girl kills herself or the boyband member, because she can't take his affections another day. Thus, the story just ends.
