Welcome to JetLag

I can't wait to be back to normal. Last night I went to bed at 8:30 and woke up at 5:30. I would have gotten up at 3:30, but it just seemed wrong, so I made myself go back to sleep.

Vacation was pretty good, the only thing that could have made it better would have been a hot love affair with a gorgeous French man. But hey, these things don't magically happen the way they do in romance novels.

Very French things I did:
+ Ate leeks
+ Drank wine
+ Ate cheese
+ Visited Versailles
+ Watched the Eiffel Tower Light Show
+ Took a cruise on the Seine
+ Ate ice cream by the Seine
+ Ate croissants & pain chocolat

Very non-French:
+ Walked a yellow lab around the streets of Paris
+ Ate at McDonald's in the airport

Very Mediterranean:
+ Ate charcuterie and sauccison which may be French as well, but I associate it with my time in Granada
+ Bathed in the sea where I could see my feet, even when I was in all the way to my shoulders
+ Coveted hot European men, because they take care of themselves better than American men on any day

So, my trip was interesting and relaxing. I'm not sure if I got the balance between doing stuff and relaxing quite right, but there is no sense in feeling sorry for myself, because how many 23 year olds can take European vacations?

I think I may be coming down with something from the airplane - my throat is kinda sore, in the too much head mucus way. I know you totally wanted to hear that detail.

I really enjoyed being with Helena's family. The idea that we all eat big meals together and go places together, it's pretty nice. It was cool that we couldn't watch TV, because it kept me from wanting to watch tv, if that makes sense. No one should watch tv on their European vacation, there are so many better things to do with your time - I'm sure.

I think since I am bored at 6:15 in the morning, I will now upload my pics onto facebook.
