so, this morning i was thinking about
The Frederick Jackson Turner Frontier Theory
why the hell was i doing that, you may ask?
well i was watching this show that was showing both sides of the argument for continuing the space program or not.
so that got me to thinking, what do i think on this matter?
and i realized i didn't really care.
now, one could blame the apathy that comes along with being a member of there HHS class of 2003...
but then i thought, i was never alive when the world was going crazy over new territory to reach.
i certainly missed things like the louisiana purchase, the gadsden purchase, the treaty of Guadeloupe-hidalgo, and even the matter of Alaska and Hawaii becoming states.
i missed the 'race to space' and can't even remember anything about space before maybe '89, i don't tend to remember things from before the age 4.
so in my mind, space travel is just kind of there...no big deal
by going into space i don't feel like my curiosity about the world and now universe is being satiated
i have too many other things to be curious about.
like the things that go on in the rest of the world, hell things that go on 5 miles from my house.
why are we concerned about life beyond on our planet, when we haven't even fully studied the goings on around our own world?

now perhaps i shouldn't be allowed to think in the morning, cause my thoughts get tangential, but if this makes sense to anyone...either you're crazy, or i'm not as crazy as everyone thinks i am, when i just come up with these out of the blue thoughts.
