Interviewing...
I have determined that going to an agency on two separate occasions to interview, and not being seen, really sucks. I went in today AGAIN to the same agency that I went to Tuesday. Long Story short, I waited around for 45 minutes, until I had to head into work. The receptionist seemed surprised and said "I thought the interview was canceled..." I said "No, this was rescheduled after no one being here the other day for my first appointment." Apparently they have staff meetings on Fridays, which they were having at that moment. I asked the lady why I would be scheduled for an interview at the same time as the staff meeting.
I must say I am proud of myself. After filling out the application and giving them a little time to potentially come out of the meeting and interview, I went to the receptionist and very frankly told her how ridiculous I thought it was that I'd come in two times now and this had happened. I wasn't accusing her, just being honest with her. I told her I would be a great employee and to please inform her supervisors of my coming in twice and never being seen.
She gave my the fax numbers/info on their main office in Manhattan, as well as the Queens office, to send my resume in to them for other opportunities.
Ah me.
