The weekend with Lizzy was great. We spent all of Friday shopping and watching movies. Then I took her to a great little Italian place in the Village, and she took me to see "Wicked." FANTASTIC. Ana Gasteyer, from "Saturday Night Live," played Elphaba, and I was so happy to see her in such a meaty role. I'd been listening to the soundtrack for almost two years now, but seeing it all right before my eyes fleshed out the story. I think I wanna go back and start reading the book from teh beginning again.

Yesterday we went shopping again, Lizzy and I. I showed her Queens in all its glory. The mall here is as busy on a weekend as the stores back home are during the holidays. But I had fun making purchases at the Sketchers store and Victoria Secret. And sipping a pumpkin frappucino and talking with Lizzy. We made our way to Dan's by the evening and had pizz and visted with him.

Today I saw Lizzy off in the towncar, sending her to the airport to head home to her hubby. I took the bus back to the mall to do a bit of shopping, enjoying having some Queens-time on my own before taking the Long Island Railroad out to where Dan's brother/sister-in-law live, and he picked me up. Had a great evening playing with his adorable 6 year old nephew and going to dinner. I missed seeing Dan, so it was great to see him and his family for the evening.

Now are going to watch "Dexter."
