At the ticket place, once again. In one week I will be leaving for Denver for Erin N's graduation , which I am so excited about.

So, the other night I went to BB King's to see Edwin McCain, who was wonderful. I was not extremely familiar with his music, but very glad I went because he is great live. Not to mention that since he's from SC his voice sounded so familiar to my ears. Dan and I went with his friend Keith and Keith's brother Rob. We ate dinner at Corner Bistro in the Village, and then went to Starbucks for a bit. While we were getting coffee I decided to head to the bathroom, which Dan also decided was a good idea. We waited in the short line, and then as my time arrived I opened the door to head in--then, out of nowhere this 90-yr old, 5 foot tall woman dressed in a long overcoat appears out of nowhere and takes the door right out of my hand. I didn't let go of the door and told her it was my turn and I really had to go to the bathroom--I was so caught off guard. She repeatedly yelled at me in a very high-pitched voice "It's an emergency, it's an emergency"--and went in for 5-10 minutes. It all happened so fast I couldn't help but fall over in laughter--as Dan and the random people sitting around did, as well. Growing up my favorite fairytale was "Hansel & Gretel." I loved renting the live actor versions. The witch always creeped me out--and that was the first thing that came to mind when I saw this lady. So very odd.

Yesterday I was babysitting and found myself outside the apartment building with the 8yr old boy I watch playing catch. Im ust say that was definitely the first time I ever played catch anywhere else but in a field or backyard. I'm talkin 20 feet away from each other. We nearly lost the ball to the street just once, which I found pretty impressive.

Oh, thank goodness the week is almost to an end.
