Snow Day - Terrible movie. Snow Dogs - Disgustingly Terrible Movie. Snowing outside...

Dec 05, 2003 19:00

I do love the snow, but it's times like these where it makes me very angry. When plans that were made long ago suddenly crumble, I get frustrated. Yes, the snow is beautiful but what the hell can I do in it late at night in one of those community things with no exciting landscapes or anything to explore? Well there are those woods, which I'll most likely get lost in.

Tara and I had planned to go to one of those audience participation screenings of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, but seeing as how we'd have to *drive* to get there, it didn't work out too well. So then we plan to get together tonight, maybe see 'Love Actually' or something, but the theaters are all closed. At least we got a silly conversation out of that:

Tara: I've been wanting to see 'Love Actually' for a while.
Me: Sounds cool. Oh, do you know Keira Knightly's in it?
Tara: Really? Wasn't she in that...soccer movie?
Me: And that...um...pirate movie. thing, what was it called?
Tara: I have no idea.
Me: Pirates of the...of the Western Seas...
Tara: Yes, that was it! And it had that sexy J name as the lead. Johnny Deep, Johnny D something...
Me: John Cusack.
Tara: John Cusack?
Me: Yes, it was definately him. John Cusack played that pirate...silver teeth...
Tara: Ah yes, and it had That guy in it, Orlando...Orlando Depp!
Me: And Johnny Bloom.
Tara: Two Johnny's? Wow.
Me: Yes, what a great movie it was.

Of course it was all bs, both of us being highly obsessed with Pirates. (Pirates of the Western Seas, Starring John Cusack *snerk*) But I'm mad too that the library is closed so I can't even go over and get something by Hunter S. Thompson to entertain myself during the time I'll be spending inside during yet another promised blizzard.

It started snowing in school today, right around first period, but it didn't start sticking until 6th or 7th. So last period, the principal comes on and makes a stupid announcement: "Everything is cancelled related to the school. Apart from that, everything else is cancelled." Jesus Christ, since when doesn't everything mean 'everything' anymore? So crazy. Then he started giving driving tips to the seniors that had never driven in the snow before. It was so funny. He was telling them all these tips. But in a way it's scary; drive to school, have to drive home in whether you've never driven in before. Ah well, I guess that's how life goes, just be ready for whatever the hell it throws at you.

In History class we took a little mini quiz that I got a perfect score on. After that, we were planning on talking about the Russian Revolutions and all that, but we ended up straying so far off the topic that we ended up just telling all about our heritages and fun stuff like that. After being called a 'gypsy freak kind of thing like that...', someone asked if I liked chocolate. I was like "um...yeah...why?" and they're like "well there was a gypsy in a movie that liked chocolate." I wanted to tell him how much of a moron he was but then our discussion switched to that wonderful Disney Movie 'Anastasia.' One of my favorites, I'm so mad my parents gave it away. Would have been a great night to watch it.

Anastasia, Hunter S. Thompson and Tara...All not to be. Oh well, I can still watch Fear and Loathing, can't I? And Pirates! I guess tonight's not going to be so bad after all.
